Teacher's Comments

Hello there! We are Valiant Victoria, named after Victoria Station, which was named after the former Queen Victoria herself. In Year 2, we will explore many different topics including the Mysterious Far East, the Tudors and Pirates, and through them, we will discover many new things across the curriculum from hemispheres to lifecycles. We will learn to make mistakes and learn from them as we continue our journey through the stations of Singlegate’s underground!

In Victoria Class, we believe in ourselves and our ability to discover new things. As Dr Seuss says, ‘You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself any direction you choose.’

Our class author is Dr Seuss, known for his wacky stories and funny rhymes in his classics such as 'The Cat in the Hat' and 'Horton Hears a Who'. There is lots to learn from his stories as there's more than meets the eye. To quote Dr Seuss, ‘The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you'll go.’

Here's to a fantastic year in Victoria!
