Teacher's Comments

Welcome to our Proud Paddington class. We are named after Paddington station and Paddington bear, which resemble a caring environment for our learning journey.

In our Paddington Class, we have the freedom that allows for creativity, self-expression and curiosity. Exploring different topics gives us the opportunity to think for ourselves and find out what learning means in our life. Through play and focused activities, we learn the basics of phonics and mark making which are the building blocks of later learning. Our Picasso Corner is an exciting place where we draw to represent our thoughts and development using different materials.

Our class author is Ian Falconer who is best known for the Olivia series. As Olivia mentions “reading never wears me out”, we are delighted to begin our topic of ‘50 Books to Read before you’re 11 3/4’.

Imagine the fun we will have spending family weekends with our class friend Paddington Bear and sharing our home experiences with the class.

Families are always welcome to come in for a chat or to look at their child's work and are encouraged to be part of their child's education.
