Teacher's Comments

We are Motivated Monument class and we are really excited about the new experiences coming our way in Year 2! Just like our class name, which features the famous landmark that commemorates the Great Fire of London in 1666, we will learn from our mistakes and stand proud of our achievements.

We will be very busy this year, overcoming challenges and becoming brave, independent and keen learners. We yet to discover our potential, develop our individual strengths and collaborate with others to do the same. We are all incredibly special and we believe in the wise words of Dr Seuss “Today you are you, that is truer than true, no one alive more you-er than you”. Our class author is Dr Seuss and will enjoy reading his inspiring books and look forward to being encouraged by his imaginative stories and characters.

Our curiosity of past and present events will continue to grow as we explore our various topics including Who’s Henry, Pirates, Fairy tales and George’s Marvellous Medicine. Our imagination will flourish as our learning in all areas of the curriculum will embark on great adventures and our various academic skills will be required.
