Teacher's Comments

Welcome to gallant Gates Class! Gallant means heroic and respectful, and describes how we fearlessly face challenges and treat each other.

Our class is named after the computer genius, Bill Gates. His dedication, leadership skills and vision have made him the richest man on the planet, but it is for his charity work that we admire him most. With his wife, Melinda, he runs the biggest private charity in the world; his spectacular success improves the lives of millions.

One of Britain's best-loved storywriters, Michael Morpurgo, is our class author. Exploring his life-story and captivating books, we will use his remarkable work to inspire and improve our own writing.

At the end of the year – as a reward for all our hard work – the unforgettable school trip to France gives us the chance to practise our fabulous French, explore the rich culture and take part in exciting team tasks.

Packed with exciting learning, awesome challenges and lots of fun, Year 6 will definitely be one to remember – forever!

Why not pop in and have a look for yourself?
