Teacher's Comments

Welcome to the class page for the fantastic Farah class. We are named after the British, World and Olympic Champion distance runner Mo Farah. Following Mo’s ethic we aim to always show Fellowship, have a sense of Adventure, be Resilient towards our learning, show great Ambition and be Happy. It’s the Farah way! Mo says; ‘if you work hard at something, you will achieve it’ and that is going to be our motto this year. We are a very hard working group of children, and we are unafraid to push ourselves whether it’s on the pitch during PE, singing to our hearts content in music or working hard in Mathematics.

Our class author is Roald Dahl, famous for his children’s books such as ‘The BFG’, ‘Matilda’ and ‘Charlie and the Chocolate Factory’. Roald Dahl takes inspiration from everyday life and incorporates an element of fantasy to keep the reader hooked. For example, when Dahl was younger, he was in fact a chocolate taster, one of the many inspirations behind ‘Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.’ His imaginative writing is going to help us develop our own distinctive writing style and we hope to create stories as wonderful as his!

We are a very kind and enthusiastic class and we love learning new things. It is going to be a great year – feel free to pop in and experience a snippet with us!
