"Always remember: You're braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think."
Christopher Robin to Pooh ~ A.A. Milne

We are the wise and wonderful Borough class. Named after Borough underground station, which is in such a vibrant and lively part of London. In light of this, our role-play area is set up as one of London's most famous and busy markets – Borough Market, and we use this area to do lots of wonderful learning in Mathematics, English and our project work.

Being enthusiastic learners, we love discovering new things about ourselves and the world around us and learning new skills to utilise in our everyday lives. We are very excited about taking on the various challenges in the curriculum that we are exploring through the diversity of our various topics starting with ‘The Best of British’.

We are learning about Great Britain, the environment and many more exciting topics and we are going to plant, grow and harvest-to-eat our own food. Food is important because ‘we are what we eat’ so leaning about health, nutrition and fitness through sport and daily exercise is a key focus throughout the year.

Our class authors this year are Janet and Allan Ahlberg, who have inspired our FUNNYBONES in space themed reading corner. As a husband and wife team they have written lots of fantastic stories and poems and we are looking forward to exploring them.
