Teacher's Comments

We are the amazing Attenborough class, an enthusiastic and engaged group of boys and girls. We are always ready to help each other to learn and always aim to make the correct choices so that we can enjoy all aspects of our learning.

Our class is named after the inspirational David Attenborough. He is an English broadcaster and naturalist who has produced many television programs and films on wildlife, as well as writing many books on the same subject. We are inspired by David Attenborough as he has spent his life learning about animals and the planet we live on, educating people all over the world about the importance of nature and conservation.

This year our class author is CS Lewis who is best known for his fictional work The Chronicles of Narnia and The Space Trilogy. The Chronicles of Narnia is a series of seven fantasy novels for children and is considered a classic of children’s literature. The series was originally written between 1949 and 1954 but more recently, three of the novels, including The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, have been adapted into films which have grossed over $1.5 billion combined. Given that many of the characters created by Lewis are animals, this links well with our Attenborough class theme too.

We are a class with a broad range of talents and interests. We enjoy playing football together at break, learning how to play musical instruments and practicing our dancing. We especially liked learning about different countries last year and have been getting to grips with the French language so make sure you drop in to our class to say bonjour this year!
